Black Hills RV Service

Black Hills RV Service is a family-owned RV dealer and repair shop based in Rapid City, South Dakota, at 4871 S Interstate 90 Service Rd. It works both ways: you can bring your rig to its shop, or its technicians will come to you. One reviewer describes a tech and his wife showing up at a traveler's site within an hour of a call, and another reports a tech reaching a site in Hill City by noon after a Tuesday morning call.

The shop handles RV winterization, refrigerator repair and replacement, furnace maintenance, water heater repair, awning repair, roof vent installation, plumbing, electrical work, and leveling system service, on Class A, B, and C motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and toy haulers. For air conditioners it describes "Expert care for rooftop Coleman, Dometic, and Furrion units," covering shroud replacements, coil cleanings, and capacitor repairs.

No hourly rate, trip fee, diagnostic fee, or set hours are published, so ask about the trip fee and whether a tech can come to your campsite or driveway when you call. One reviewer, after a water heater and stabilizing jack went out, says "they were over to see the problem that night," which points to same-day response when something fails far from home.

The business lists 16+ years of experience and calls its staff certified RV technicians. Google rates it 5.0 stars.

This is a good fit for a traveler stuck in or near Rapid City or the Black Hills with a dead fridge, furnace, or jack, and for an owner nearby who wants both sales and repair handled by the same family-run shop.
