JD RV

JD RV is an RV repair shop based in Minden, Nevada. You bring the RV to its service shop at 2436 Nowlin Rd rather than having a tech come to you.

It works on solar and lithium power systems, inverters, air conditioning, water heaters, refrigerators, furnaces, stoves, propane systems and batteries, and it installs tankless water heaters and rooftop A/C units. It also handles Starlink internet installs. Beyond repairs, it offers seasonal inspections that check water system pressure, roof and exterior seals, tire condition, propane leaks, 12V/110V function, and battery load, plus winterizing and de-winterizing service and à la carte maintenance on slide-outs and appliances.

No hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about cost when you call to book an appointment. The service shop is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, closed Saturday and Sunday.

JD RV describes itself as having been "Voted the Best RV Shop in the Carson Valley" and says its team includes "master technicians" with experience in solar and electrical upgrades, which matters if your rig needs an off-grid power system built out rather than just patched. No certifications or licensing statement are listed on its site, so ask about that directly if it matters to you.

Google rates it 4.9 stars from 103 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner in the Minden and Carson Valley area who can get the rig to a shop, especially one looking to add solar, lithium batteries, or a tankless water heater rather than just fix what broke.
