Star 5 Service

Star 5 Service is an RV repair business in Kalispell, Montana, in the Flathead Valley, that works two ways. It has an indoor repair shop at 125 Industrial Ct in Kalispell, and it sends a mobile tech to the RV across the Flathead Valley, naming Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, West Glacier, Bigfork and Polson. The owner, Ben, wrote to us in October 2026 to say the shop is open and to add the second phone line. Anything past those towns, ask when you call.

It works on travel trailers, fifth wheels and Class A motorhomes. The service list on its own site is long and specific: LP furnaces and hydronic heaters, rooftop air conditioners and soft-start kits, tankless and standard water heaters, holding tanks, dump valves and toilets, converters, distribution panels, 12-volt short tracing and solar, Lippert and BAL slide systems, hydraulic and electric leveling, Norcold and Dometic refrigerators, LP regulators and leak testing, roof sealant and membrane patches, window and beltline resealing, entry steps, and chassis work from axle bearings to trailer brakes. It also runs a commercial truck side with 24/7 roadside response on US-93, US-2, MT-35 and MT-83, so an RV with a chassis or air-brake problem is not out of its depth.

Star 5 Service names itself as an authorized factory and extended warranty center for Brinkley RV, Forest River, Grand Design, Keystone, Nexus RV and Spartan RV Chassis, with direct factory warranty billing, and the owner says it works with extended warranty providers, OEM warranty programs and insurance claims. The owner also states a one-year workmanship warranty on its repairs. Ask for that in writing with your invoice.

It does not publish a trip fee, an hourly rate or job prices, so ask what the mobile trip fee is and whether the first hour is included before anyone drives out. Shop hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Shop and mobile dispatch is (406) 607-2185. The 24/7 emergency roadside line is (406) 607-8220, and after-hours rates are often higher, so ask. It says it keeps parts on hand and will expedite delivery and come back to finish a job when it does not have yours.

It claims over 15 years of expertise and calls itself family owned and local. Google rates it 3.9 stars from 24 reviews. This is a good fit for an RV owner or traveler in the Flathead Valley or on the way to Glacier who wants the choice of a shop bay or a tech at the campsite, has warranty work to get done, or needs someone on the phone at 2 AM on US-93.
