RV West

RV West is a mobile RV and trailer repair business based in Santa Barbara, California, serving Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. It comes to you, at a campsite, home or storage facility, so a broken rig does not have to be towed anywhere.

It works on roofs, electrical systems, plumbing, AC and heating, and appliances, and also handles inspections, on RVs and trailers. It says it can "handle over 80% of standard RV repairs" without the rig ever leaving its spot, which matters if a slide-out is stuck or an AC quits on a hot day at a park with no shop nearby.

No trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about those when you call. It aims for "same-day or next-day service when possible," which counts for something when a breakdown is eating into a trip. Hours run Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Sunday.

RV West is licensed under license #45315. It also runs a membership program with priority booking, discounts on parts and labor, seasonal maintenance reminders for winterizing, and an annual multi-point safety and roof inspection, which suits an owner who wants ahead-of-time care rather than waiting for something to break.

This is a good fit for an owner in Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo county who wants repairs done at the campsite or driveway instead of hauling the rig to a shop, and for a traveler on the Central Coast whose AC, roof or electrical system fails mid-trip and needs someone who can reach them fast.
