Gary's Auto, RV and Brake Inc

Gary's Auto, RV and Brake Inc is an automotive repair shop based in Oceanside, California. You bring the RV to its 12-bay shop, which it says "has space for even the biggest of RV's."

It works on brakes, air conditioning, engine management, suspension, shocks and struts, oil changes, transmission repair and radiator repair, on cars, trucks and RVs. Its pages do not spell out RV-specific systems like slide-outs, generators or water heaters, so ask when you call whether it handles the particular system you need worked on.

No trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about those when you call too. Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday 7:00am to 10:00am.

Gary's has been in business since 1993, and its techs are ASE Certified Master Techs, which matters for an RV because brake, AC and engine diagnostic work on a heavier rig is the kind of job where a master-level certification is worth checking for. The shop is A+ accredited with the Better Business Bureau. It backs its work with a guarantee: "All our work is guaranteed, and we will correct any problems if you're not completely satisfied." One traveler wrote about having a motorhome battery replaced same day before a Yosemite trip, which points to the kind of quick turnaround a traveler needs when a rig has to be back on the road fast.

Google rates it 4.9 stars from 58 reviews.

This is a good fit for an RV owner in or near Oceanside who can drive the rig in for brake, AC, transmission or electrical work and wants a shop that has handled RVs alongside cars and trucks for decades.
